WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY TOURISM AND HOW IS TOURISM IN PAKISTAN GOING?

Tourism means people travelling for fun. It includes activities such as sightseeing and camping. People who travel for fun are called "tourists". Places where many tourists stay are called "resorts".  Some people travel to do an activity which they cannot do at home.OR Tourism may be defined as the movement of the people from their normal place of residence to another place ( with the intention to return) for a minimum period of twenty-four hours to the maximum of six months for the sole purpose of leisure and pleasure.

Modern tourism is an increasingly intensive, commercially organized, business-oriented set of activities whose roots can be found in the industrial and postindustrial West. Tourism is one of the world’s fastest growing industries and a major foreign exchange and employment generation for many countries. It is one of the most remarkable economic and social phenomena.

Tourism in Pakistan is growing rapidy these days.Pakistan is considered as the no 1 place for tourism in 2020.Many foreign and local tourists wish to visit Pakistan for tourism because this country has some special and beautiful places for tourism.Tourism in Pakistan is at its peak nowadays because Pakistan particularly has a lot of potential regarding tourism because of its diverse and well-preserved culture; from the ‘Do Darya’ in Karachi and Gwadar Port in Balochistan to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore and beautiful valleys of the north like Hunza and Sust.

WHAT ARE THE IMPACTS OF TOURISM ON ANY COUNTRY?

Impacts of tourism is divided into two categories :-
        Positive impacts of tourism.
        Negative impacts of tourism.

POSITIVE IMPACTS OF TOURISM:-

1)      The demand for local food and crafts is increased.
2)      Income for the local economy.
3)      Tourists mainly come to see the scenery and wildlife, so there is pressure to conserve habitats and wildlife.
4)      Jobs for local people.
5)      Helps preserve rural services like buses, village shops and post offices.

NEGATIVE IMPACTS OF TOURISM:-

1)      Increase in traffic congestion and pollution.
2)      Demand for development of more shops and hotels.
3)      Demand for holiday homes makes housing too expensive for local people.
4)      Local goods can become expensive because tourists will pay more.
5)      Shops stock products for tourists and not everyday goods needed by locals.
6)      Damage to the landscape: litter, erosion, fires, disturbance to livestock., vandalism.
7)      Jobs are mainly seasonal, low paid with long hours.  

WHY TOURISM IS IMPORTANT?

Tourism has become the legs which many countries use to walk forward, and it is something that brings joy to many people all across the globe. The simple fact that people of all nationalities can get together and appreciate one another by visiting certain countries is a true blessing.Along with the pride and enjoyment that tourism evokes, it is also a huge industry that supports the lives of millions of people. Countries that would otherwise be devastated, find their means to grow from tourism.It is because of these various points that tourism will remain a very important part of our world!.

REASONS WHY TOURISM IS IMPORTANT:-

Tourism is important because:-
       Tourism provides business opportunities.
       Tourism is the source of Income for any country.
       Tourism provide us job opportunities.
       Tourism helps in Building infrastructure..
       Tourism has social advantages.

WHAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF TOURISM?

The main purpose of tourism is to  promotes (advertises) your city/country and helps raise money for your city, by tourists spending money to site-see, buy food, purchase gifts or stay in lodgings. Tourism also provides jobs for people.

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF TOURISM?

The goal of tourism is to :-
•Develop the insfrastructure and provide recreation facilities for tourists.
•Provide a framework for raising the standard living of people through economic benefits of tourism.
•Provide a development program.

CONCLUSION:-

Tourism drives economic prosperity and sustained development in many regions around the world.Tourism is a great way for people to spend their money and for cities to attract other people. In doing so, cities across the world attract millions of dollars just so foreigners get the chance to experience life in a new place.
