In addition, Forbes listed Pakistan as Best Travel Destination 2019.Pakistan’s northern areas are best to visit in the summer season.Pakistan is among the best countries for tourism in the world.There are many beautiful places to visit in the northern areas of Pakistan.In our Northern Areas there are many beautiful places including Hunza, Skardu, Fairy meadows, Kalash Valley, Naran, Kaghan and many more.

Northern Areas Of Pakistan :-
1) KHUNJREB PASS :-
This place is commonly know for its snowy mountains and beautiful views.It is the best place for tourism in Pakistan. Khunjerab Pass (4,693 metres or 15,397 feet) is a high mountain pass in the Karakarom mountains in a strategic position on the northern border of Pakistan (Region of Gilgit Baltistan's Hunza and Nagar Districts) and on the southwest border of China (the Xinjiang region).  This is is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain, with a notorius absence of oxygen. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor. It is highly advisable to limit your stay and keep going preferably during day time. Take warm clothes with you as it can get very cold. Its name is derived from two words of the local Wakhi language : 'Khun' means Blood and 'Jerav' means a creek coming from spring water/water falling. Bring plenty of water to help stave off the feeling of altitude sicknes. The Khunjerab Pass is only open Monday through Friday. The long, relatively flat pass is often snow-covered during the winter season and as a consequence is generally closed for heavy vehicles from November 30 to May 1 and for all vehicles from December 30 to April 1.                    

2) HUNZA :-
Hunza, known as Heaven on Earth, is a beautiful mountainous valley for tourism located in the Gilgit- Baltistan region of Pakistan. Situated at the north/west of the Hunza River, it is surrounded by several high peaks including Rakaposhi, Hunza Peak, BojahagurDuanasir II, Darmyani Peak, Ghenta Sar, Ultar Sar and Ladyfinger Peak.The valley has different beautiful natural sights which are the attractions for tourists. Among these attractions the Baltit and Altit fort are also well known. The Baltit fort, after renovation, has recently been turned into heritage museum. In Hunza, the bazaar of Karimbad is famous for its local handicrafts, handmade rugs, traditional embroidered caps, shawls, hand woven cloth (paffu) and its gemstones which are famous all over the world, particularly Ruby. The Ruby mines are famous tourist attractions.              
LIFESTYLE :-
The people of Hunza are very healthy and have the longest lifespan in the world. They remain strong and robust even in old age. This is because of the pure water they drink and their natural diet. The people walk a lot on the rugged terrain everyday which serves as physical exercise for them. Among other organically grown food, the most common fruit in Hunza is apricot which is considered to be their Gold. The people there eat fresh apricots in the season, dry them and also puree the dried apricots of which jam and icecream is later made. These people also get nutritional richness of other fruits too that are grown there including apples, pears, black and red cherries, peaches. The number of orchards and trees under cultivation are used to gauge the economic stability of the local people in Hunza.Pakistan has been blessed with beautiful locations throughout the country and Hunza sure is one of them. It remains very famous, for its scenic beauty and unique culture, with the locals as well as the foreigners. 3) ATTABAD LAKE :-
Attabad Lake is one of the most beautiful and attractive place for tourism in Northern area of Pakistan.Attabad Lake, Gojal, also known as Gojal Lake, is a lake in the Gojal Valley of northern Pakistan created in January 2010 by a landslide dam. Though Attabad Lake initially was as much as 350 feet deep, silt from glacial runoff has been gradually settling to the bottom.The lake was formed due to a massive landslide at Attabad village in Gilgit-Baltistan, 9 miles (14 km) upstream (east) of Karimabad that occurred on January 4, 2010. The landslide killed twenty people and blocked the flow of the Hunza River for five months. The lake reached 13 miles (21 km) long and over 100 metres in depth by the first week of June 2010 when it began flowing over the landslide dam, completely submerging lower Shishkat and partly flooding Gulmit. “It’s filling in,” said Riazullah Baig, a local tour guide. 
                                  “In another 10 years, it may just be a riverbed again".

4)SKARDU
Skardu is a huge valley to explore a lot of undiscovered sites. Naran is small town in Kaghan Valley which is located in Mansehra District in KPK.Naran Kaghan  is one of the best road trips in Northern Pakistan with amazing sightseeing. Kaghan valley is easily accessible and has one of the most beautiful and major tourist attractions in its surroundings. Kunhar River flows on the banks of Kaghan Valley. Rafting is one of the most famous sports activities that are carried out on these waters.Other most famous destinations in Kaghan Valley include Shogran which is also one the most beautiful hill stations in Pakistan. Babusar Top which has an elevation of 4,173 m and this pass connects KPK with Gilgit-Baltistan. Naran Bazaar is very crowded in summers with hotels and restaurants offering their services. There is significant rainfall in summers and heavy snowfall in winters.The Kaghan Valley can be reached by road via the towns of Balakot, Abbottabad and Mansehra. In Balakot, buses and other transports can be used to travel to Kaghan. It can also be reached from the capital, Islamabad, and Peshawar by renting a car to Abbottabad. Tourists can then order a taxi or ride other public transports to go to the valley .Naran Valley is open only for 8 months from April to November throughout the year. However, In other four months, This majestic valley is closed for everyone because of heavy snowfall. Moreover, Weather condition in Naran remains cold all along the year. But the best time to travel this site is Summer. In Summers, tourists can easily travel to any part of Naran Valley.
